We will see nice weather to end the workweek and start the weekend. It will be sunny on Friday and mostly sunny on Saturday with temperatures in the middle to upper 70’s. A weather system will move through the Ohio Valley on Sunday and that storm system will cause showers and thunderstorms to develop. Temperatures on Sunday will remain on the mild side in the middle 70’s.

Behind that weather system, it will be cooler and dryer with sunny to mostly sunny skies next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures next week will hold steady in the middle 60’s.

It will be a nice weekend across the Kokomo and Howard County area. We will see plenty of sunshine and dry conditions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The big story this weekend will be cooler temperatures with high temperatures only reaching the upper 60’s and lower 70’s and overnight lows dropping into the 40’s.

A bit more cloud cover is expected by the middle of next week with partly cloudy skies by late Tuesday and increasing clouds with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms by Wednesday.

The big national weather story this weekend continues to be Hurricane Irma which continues to move towards Florida. Irma remains a major hurricane and will likely bring damaging winds, heavy rain and flooding to parts of Florida this weekend.
